visions

“A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove... but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”Forest E. Witcraft

Here at Ethiopian Family Forum, we are driven by a single goal; to contribute our  best  to make a difference in raising the next generation.

In  America , this  land of opportunities,  we can tap  the resources and raise our children to become the next responsible leaders who can  also play key roles in transforming  their country of origin.

Here are few of our visions as a roadmap:

  •  Empower and equip families with life and parenting skills.Organize family focused workshops.

  • Identify resources and help students succeed  academically :

    • Based on their ability, aptitude and interest,  collaborate to find their unique pathway to college/career

    • Guide students  for college success ( ACT,SAT, explore scholarship opportunities , college admission guidance,  etc.)

  •  Instill spiritual and moral values in our children by involving  them  in  local community services

  • Arrange volunteer  opportunities to serve their country of origin (Ethiopia) during high school or college  summer breaks.

  •  Networking with local, national and international youth of Ethiopian origin and explore opportunities to share resources.

  • Teaching  young children their Ethiopian heritage ( history, culture, and languages).
